When we think about heart disease, we often associate it with older adults. In reality, taking care of our hearts starts much earlier. It begins with awareness, healthy habits and making small choices that can have a lasting impact.
That’s why we believe heart health conversations shouldn’t only happen in hospitals. They should happen in schools, universities and within our communities too.
Together with the CVSKL Foundation, we were delighted to be part of the First City University College (FCUC) Open Day, where we met students, parents and visitors who stopped by to learn more about caring for their hearts. Our dietitian also shared practical healthy eating tips, showing that looking after your heart can start with the everyday choices we make at the dining table.
What made the day even more meaningful was seeing so many young adults taking the initiative to ask questions, seek advice and learn more about preventive care. It was a great reminder that heart health is not just a concern for later in life. The earlier we start, the better.
To everyone who stopped by for a chat, asked a question or simply took the time to learn something new, thank you for being part of the conversation. And to First City University College, thank you for having us. We look forward to creating more opportunities like this and continuing to make heart health awareness accessible to people of all ages.
