At CVSKL, continuous efforts are taken to inculcate the knowledge of how to respond to an emergency situation. Code Green is generally defined as an external emergency disaster when the hospital emergency department (ED) receives more than 5 patients with priority I and II from a mass casualty event occurring externally.

The Code Green drill stimulation conducted recently involved 43 personnel consisting of CVSKL staff, First Ambulance paramedics, and public volunteers who worked together in diligently managing 11 disaster victims in 3 priority zones. This effort has not only created an awareness of disaster management but also helped identify areas for improvement. We cannot stop disasters but we can arm ourselves with knowledge to face it.
