Our operating theatres feature modern equipment and are manned by a team of experienced anaesthetists, surgeons and nurses skilled in a wide range of surgical procedures. Our facilities are designed for optimal efficiency and seamless operational flow.
CVSKL is one of the very few centres in the region that houses a hybrid operating theatre. Our hybrid operating theatre is equipped with advanced medical imaging technology, enabling simultaneous percutaneous and surgical intervention procedures in the same location.
The hybrid operating theatre allows for a smooth transition to an open procedure by providing all the necessary capabilities and personnel in one space. This technology has led to the development of new procedures that enable greater options for patients with complex disease states.
There are 2 fully equipped contemporary cardiac catheterisation laboratories at CVSKL where our team performs various procedures, including coronary angiograms, angioplasty and implantation of pacemakers/cardioverter-defibrillators.
Our electrophysiology laboratory (EP lab) provides the latest equipment for diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms. The EP lab houses advanced imaging capabilities for complex catheter ablations and the latest intracardiac monitoring and recording equipment.
We are one of the very few EP labs in the region that has advanced technology, including body surface mapping equipment to precisely identify and map the areas responsible for the arrhythmia. We also have a pacemaker analysing system to efficiently conduct pacemaker tests and follow-up care.
We are proud to introduce the Revolution Apex, 1st of its’ kind CT scanner in Malaysia aptly named so; for this CT scanner promises to deliver uncompromised image quality for all our patients, at a low radiation dose.
The Revolution Apex is housed on Level 1 of the hospital and will enforce the Cardiac Diagnostics Centre of Excellence as a powerful imaging tool to assist our doctors by producing high-quality images for an accurate diagnosis, leading to better outcomes.
