Led by Dr Tan Kia Lean, Tan Kia Lean our Consultant Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon, this edition of the programme focused on varicose vein glue ablation treatment, with an additional focus on iliac vein stenting, the primary minimally invasive treatment for May-Thurner Syndrome (MTS). Through case-based discussions and interactive sessions, vascular surgeons and interventional cardiologists from Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines explored patient selection, treatment planning, and the latest techniques in venous interventions.

 

One of the highlights of the programme was a live ultrasound scan demonstration on patients with varicose veins, followed by a demonstration of the ultrasound-guided cannulation technique. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of this year’s Venous Excellence Programme.
